The CNC machinery we use to build our own flight cases is also available as a standalone cutting service. We CNC-cut and route a wide range of sheet materials to precise, repeatable tolerances, from a single prototype panel to full production runs, all in-house at our workshop in Rainham, Essex.
Materials We Cut
- Wood laminates and plywood: panels, profiles and cut-outs
- MDF: display parts, patterns, formers and interior components
- Plastics: sheet plastics cut cleanly to shape
- Foam: case interiors and packaging foam, cut to the profile of the item it protects (see our dedicated custom foam inserts service)
If your material isn’t listed, just ask. If it can be machined on a CNC bed, we can usually cut it.

Working From Your Drawings, or Ours
If you have CAD files or technical drawings, we can cut directly from them. If you don’t, we’ll produce the drawings for you, working from your samples, sketches or measurements as part of the job, using the same design and development capability behind our own case builds.
Before any batch goes into full production, we cut and check a single first part against the drawing. Only when that first part is right does the run continue, so in a batch of 200, the last part off the machine matches the first one exactly.
Why CNC Rather Than Hand Cutting?
Accuracy and repeatability. A CNC machine repeats the same programmed cut every time, so a part is dimensionally exact, every edge is consistent, and the 500th piece in a run is identical to the 1st. Cut by hand, a long run slowly drifts, small variations creep in from one piece to the next. For anything that has to fit an insert into a case, a panel into a frame, a component into an assembly machine cutting removes that variation, and the rework it causes. On repeat work it’s also faster and more economical than any manual process.

What file formats do you accept?
Standard CAD exports such as DXF are ideal. If you only have a PDF, a sketch, or the physical item, we can redraw it for cutting.
Is there a minimum order?
No. We cut one-offs as well as production runs, and repeat quantities bring the per-part price down.
Can you cut material I supply?
Usually, yes. Tell us what the material is and its sheet size when you enquire.
