Alongside our CNC cutting service, we run laser cutting and engraving in-house at our Rainham workshop. Laser work does two things exceptionally well: it cuts fine detail with clean, consistent edges on suitable materials, and it marks surfaces permanently — no stickers, no printed labels that peel off in the back of a van.

Laser Cutting
Laser cutting suits detailed shapes, lettering, and precise apertures where a routed edge would be too coarse. On suitable materials the beam leaves a clean, sealed edge that needs no finishing. We regularly laser-cut foam layers for custom case inserts, as well as sheet materials for signage, display and component work.
For thicker sheet materials and heavier structural parts, CNC routing is usually the better process — many jobs use both, and we’ll recommend whichever suits the part when we quote.
Laser Engraving
Engraving burns the design into the surface, making it permanent and professional:
- Company logos and branding on case panels and equipment
- Serial numbers and asset IDs for tracking equipment and hire stock
- Equipment labelling — channel numbers, contents lists, connection guides
- Nameplates and signs for workshops, venues and offices
Branding a fleet of flight cases is one of the cheapest ways to make them harder to lose and easier to identify on a busy loading dock — and it looks considerably better than a vinyl sticker after a year on the road.
Who Uses This Service
Sign makers, event and exhibition companies, hire and production firms marking their stock, interior designers, and businesses that simply want their name on their equipment. The service is available on its own — you don’t need to order a case to use it — and works alongside our bespoke case builds, where engraving is a popular finishing option.
Frequently Asked Questions
What artwork do you need for engraving?
A vector file (such as SVG, DXF, AI or EPS) gives the cleanest result. If you only have a JPEG or PNG of your logo, send it over — we’ll tell you whether it can be used or redrawn.
Can you engrave cases you didn’t build?
Yes — bring the case to us, or include engraving when we repair or modify an existing case.
Do you do one-off engraving jobs?
Yes. A single nameplate is as welcome as a batch of fifty branded panels.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of the design, the material and the quantity. Send the artwork and dimensions and we’ll price it — usually the same working day.
